• Limestone but uneven across the region mixed with clay, sand and sometimes iron elements.
• Soft rolling hills, reaching altitudes around 300 meters.
• Provides protection from frost and hail damage.
The very diverse terrain and uneven localization of the limestone and clay make for microclimates across the region leading to very uneven wines – some exceptional and some mediocre.
